Contract Administrator (civil)
Civil contractor operating on projects all throughout Sydney are now in the market seeking a contract administrator to join their expancing team. This is a really exciting role working closely with the contracts manager and the commercial team offering a very lucrative salary package with an opportunity to work in regional NSW
Duties for this contract administrator role include:
- Liaise closely with internal and external stakeholders ensuring top class representation of the business
- Provision of on site contract administration
- Provide advice to the contract team on contractual issues
- Contract variations and identifying contract risks
- Dealing with project claims
- Preparing subcontract / supplier agreements
- Provision of recommendations to reduce liability
- Negotiating with clients and suppliers to finalise contracts
Role requirements:
- Tertiary qualified in construction management, construction economics or quantity surveying
- Commercial letters / Notifications to the client
- Compile full extensive variations including detail / reasoning of costs
- Between 3-5 years contract admin or quantity surveying experience on water infrastructure projects
- Prepare / drafting subcontract agreements including subcontractor selection
- Strong analytical, communication and negotiation skills
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing upstream and downstream claims
- Ability to manage simultaneous and work contracts
- Commercially astute self starter
- Strong experience on fast paced civil projects with high attention to detail
